The Hawaii Medical Board lets supervising physicians decide on-site supervision parameters. PA’s in Hawaii can prescribe, dispense and administer medication and Schedule III-V controlled substances as delegated by the supervising physician. Prescribing Schedule II drugs by PA’s is restricted to inpatient hospital settings and under supervising physician delegation.
