Review
Miller-Motte College is one of the colleges I’ve been looking up that I’ve actually heard about before. Most of these college reviews I’m writing are for career colleges that are fairly new or just not popular on a national level. What surprised me, however, is that yet again, there are no reviews available on Grad Reports.
So I’m looking at other reviews on other sites for this college. On Glass Door, there are 84 reviews from current and past employees, which gives you a good indication as to how this college is viewed. As for the percentage of employees who recommend this school to other people, it’s split right down the middle at 50 percent.
In case you didn’t know, Miller-Motte is a technical college. It is located in North Carolina, and its grade with the BBB is a B-. There have been six complaints about the school, which doesn’t seem so bad. Only one customer review exists on the BBB site, and the rating that goes with it is 2.5 stars out of 5.
The two people that reviewed Miller-Motte College on Yelp left one star ratings. That doesn’t sound so promising, and neither does the explanation for accreditation for this college. You see, when people go to college, they often transfer to a university, but you can’t do that when a college isn’t regionally accredited. That is the case with Miller-Motte College.
The ACICS is the accrediting agency that Miller-Motte belongs to, so at least it’s not one of those schools that isn’t accredited at all. Still, many graduates are going to run into problems with a degree from a school that isn’t regionally accredited.
So many students don’t understand the differences surrounding accreditation. If you’re going to attend Miller-Motte Technical College, make sure it’s the school for you.
