Licensing
Missouri does not currently license radiology tech personnel (with some exceptions).
However, as a future radiology tech, you may still elect to register with the ARRT and sit their certification exams as a means to further strengthen your credentials, to stand out among other candidates in the workplace and to future-proof your skillset.
An associate’s degree is also a minimum requirement to apply to sit the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exams. If you wish to specialise in nuclear medicine technology, you will need to sit and pass the specialist exams set by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Exams are administered at Pearson VUE testing centres throughout Missouri.
