How to Become a Radiology Tech in South Dakota
South Dakota does not currently license radiology tech personnel. However operators of x ray/imaging equipment must be registered/certified by the ARRT, or be licensed in another state, or have completed 40 hours of training in the operation of radiation-producing equipment by a qualified instructor,
- ARRT Exams: An associates degree is a minimum requirement to apply to sit the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exams. The ARRT exams are computer based and are administered at Pearson VUE testing centres throughout South Dakota.
